"I'm so fancy"

While everyone else has been bundling up during the cold spell, wearing thick sweaters and cuddly clothes, Grace has been pulling out every dress and skirt she owns out of her closet. That girl just loves to get dressed up.

Today, she proudly put on her red sweater, flowered tights, corduroy beige skirt and black patent leather shoes and went running downstairs to the family room where the boys were. "Hi guys. Don't I look fancy?"

When I dropped her off at day care, she took off her jacket immediately and went up to every teacher to show them her dressed-up outfit. "I'm so fancy," she tells them.

She told me that when we go to her brother's basketball game tonight, she also wants to wear her new sparkly watch and bring her princess purse.

No doubt she'll be the fanciest one there.

Brief comment to readers/what you hope to accomplish with this blog: I'm hoping to reach out to other moms with this blog because we all deal with the same joys, frustrations and time management issues. Motherhood is a wonderful job, and I think we can all learn from each other.
